Every quarter, the UK media are surveyed to produce the UK's most reliable adspend figures. The Report includes comprehensive advertising forecasts for the next two years, helping agencies, analysts, media owners and advertisers with budgeting, forecasting and risk analysis.

Here's a snapshot of the data coming out of the latest release:

  1. UK ad trade contracted by 3.3% to a total value of £5.9bn in Q3 2020, though this was ahead of forecast and a marked improvement on the 33.8% fall recorded in Q2 2020.
  2. The UK government was again the fastest growing advertiser during the quarter.
  3. Our preliminary estimate for UK ad market growth in 2020 stands at -7.9%. This reflects a strong upgrade (+6.6pp) since our last forecast in October.
  4. The prospects for the UK’s ad market this year remain bright, with adspend expected to rise 15.2% (+15.5% excl. direct mail), to a new high of £26.7bn.
